the catwalk show was fantastic and highly emotional : a mix of straight minimal fashion collections , RIMOWA modern lauggage and romantic , daramtic outfits and 2 brand new product lines from RIMOWA……: tears of joy in the eyes of the guests ….what an ultimate final of a show …sorry that we can`t show any catwalk show pictures yet. but as many products are still top secret and will be launched end of the year, we are not allowed to show images of the show.

the show was held in the amazing setting of the köln triangle tower on the 27th floor with 100% sunshine and stunnings views over the cathedral.

thanks to SILK relations (tiger of sweden, kilian kerner, nike, urban ears, dr. scholl) kleider reich, reno shoes, showzone, all the models, the dresses (stefan you are magic), and all the other guys who made this fashion show so special….last but not least: thanks to the RIMOWA team for their trust and support !!!!

as we work now with a ricoh cx6 camera i nearly forgot the pictures we took during the pictoplasma festival in berlin (world’s leading and largest festival of contemporary character culture)…..one the highlight from the pictoplasma festival berlin 2012 was the fantastic 4 d computer animations and sculptures from mark gmehling….i was blown away from his work…for sure a new step into street art…highly decorative and on the other side kitschy and political as well….

mark works already for bigcompanys..but his work is very inspiring.

ANTHONY MCCALL.FIVE MINUTES OF PURE SCULPTURE : 20.04.2012 – - 12.08.2012

For the first time, the work of the New York-based artist Anthony McCall will be presented in a solo exhibition at a German museum. McCall’s unique projections, which he has been developing since the 1970s, exist at the boundaries between cinema, sculpture and drawing: animated lines are projected in a dark room filled with a light haze, allowing viewers to step into the beam of light and change its appearance.

The Hamburger Bahnhof will be showing works that McCall created beginning in 2003 after a 20-year break. While the early works are shown on 16 mm film, his more recent works are digital projections whose complex forms can only be created with the aid of computers. McCall’s horizontal works will be exhibited for the first time alongside his more recent vertical works, which bathe the exhibition space and the viewer in sculptural light.

so its very refreshing to see this amazing short movie from EMMA MULHOLLAND spring collection_12: as bad as i guana be…shot by alex goddard with the pushing tunes from sound designer sam vine….
I LOVE this video: fresh, bold, and baseball in a new fashion dimension…..GO GOLD EMMA !!!

Auch bei Handtaschen bekennen Trendsetter Form und Farbe / Von Antje Urban

Ob als It-Bag, in neuer Form als Bowling-Bag oder als Shopper – für das wichtigste Accessoire am Handgelenk einer Frau heißt es dieses Jahr: „Adieu Tristesse, jetzt kommt Farbenfreude!“ Farbe transportiert in dieser Saison Modernität und setzt ein Statement, je nach Stimmung oder Anlass. „In sind dagegen Metallketten“, sagt Wuttke, „Glanz, Lack sowie Metallic-Aspekte geben den Ton an. Natürliche Waschungen und gekochtes Leder stehen gleichberechtigt nebeneinander.“Die Vielseitigkeit der Kollektionen ist enorm. „In der Taschenmode lässt sich in diesem Jahr kein einheitlicher Trend ausmachen“, sagt Martin Wuttke, Mode-Berater der In- ternationalen Lederwarenmesse (ILM) in Offenbach. Als Trendexperte behält er dennoch den Überblick. „Eindeutig dominant sind die Kurzgrifftaschen in kastiger Form. Auch begegnet mir auf allen

Messen das Thema Schulranzen Tasche. Angelehnt an alte Leder-Ranzen, aber geschrumpft in der Größe in Verbindung mit Akzentfarben. Also zum Beispiel sattelfarbene Tasche mit kunterbuntem Akzent.“
Die Taschen miniature bleiben im nächsten Jahr. Sie sind dann als Zusatz-Accessoire zu sehen und oft gibt es zur Tasche das passende Mini-Me Täschchen dazu“, so Trend-Berater Wuttke. Etwas erleichtert ist er auch, dass die Mode nächstes Jahr dann endlich wieder eleganter wird: „Vintage hat fertig”…………….
