Louis Vuitton and Jeff Koons revive Kitsch_Welcome to the birth of luxury kitsch

Is KITSCH the new HYPE ??? Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy (LVMH), the world’s largest luxury fashion group, joins the man who holds the record for the highest price ever paid for a work by a living artist: Jeff Koons.“I wanted them to become art, and I believe these bags are art,“ says Jeff Koons, holding one of his bags in the video for product launch.

Each bag bears the name of the original artist on a metal application on the outside. All five museums that own these works of art, including the Louvre, receive license fees from the sale and they also hope that Millennials’ bags will seduce you to visit a museum of classical art. Let’s see how many  „copy kill“ bags from the usual high street brands we will see in the next month. For sure the colabo shows how bold and decorative the design direction for bags are in 2017.
