the winner of hyères festival is…

decided today, hyères festival’s grand prix for 2014 went to the japanese-born, paris-based kenta matsushige. he explained that  his fall 2014 collection, which includes original accessories, was inspired by yohji yamamoto and tadao ando. he also spoke of the importance balance between natural and urban lifestyles, between hinabi (japanes for rustic beauty) and miyabi(japanese for urban beauty). the decision of the jury reveals the importance of minimalism and that clearness and wearability are key words today.
